LAMS is excited to present its 13th annual middle school spring drama. This year's offering will be Joseph Robinette's staged adaptation of C.S. Lewis's The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The show follows the four Pevensie children--Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy (played by Darin Patches, Charlotte Nightingale, Ethan Sommers, and Madison Weaver)--as they enter the mysterious world of Narnia through an equally mysterious old wardrobe. Suddenly confronted with a cast of mythical creatures and oversized, talking animals, the children must choose sides in what shortly escalates into an epic conflict between the forces of Good and Evil. The Great Lion, Aslan (Abigail Zimmerman), and the Witch (Marissa Harrington) face off over the fate of the traitorous Edmund, sparking a battle which will determine the fate of Narnia itself. This classic story unfolds into a tale of redeeming, sacrificial love that touches on the depths of the human condition, even as it entertains through its whimsy and charm. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe includes the dedicated work of over thirty middle school actors, stage technicians, and sound/lighting crew members. The show is under the direction of Ms. Kristen LeFever, with production/stage management by Ms. Kate Henderson, and technical oversight by Mr. Jim Bulgrien and Mr. Tom Turley.
