Flag Ministry

Flag ministry is designed with a three-fold purpose:

  • To worship God with the entire “self,” both spirit & body
  • To honor God by celebrating the talents he has given us & by leading his people in worship
  • To build new skills & foster kinesthetic awareness through physical training & interpretive movement

We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!  May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Psalm 20:5 (NKJV)

Rejoicing with banners is part of what the middle school students have the opportunity to do when they join the flag ministry through the elective program.  Each week the students meet to learn and practice a routine in which they will use their entire "self" to worship God through interpretive movement.  As the students perform their worship to God others can enter into worship as well.
